Researchers from the Fish Metabolism and Endocrinology group, Universitat de Barcelona (UB1), and IRTA Sant Carles de la Ràpita participate in the LIFECYCLE project. This project studies several bottle necks present in main European cultured species in order to promote a more efficient and sustainable expansion of this sector.
The group UB1 will provide its experience on IGFs role in metabolism and growth. On the other hand, at IRTA there will be trials related with the role of several factors in sea bream larval growth. LIFECYCLE is a 5-year project included in the 7th UE Framework Programme.
