Transference:

Transference,is one of the most important aspects for the XRAq. It can be understood in different ways: as a collaborative activity and interchange of information between different XRAq teams, as participation in national or international research networks and promotion of services and technology transfer to the aquaculture sector.

In order to identify those areas susceptible of collaboration and in order to establish research and consultancy contacts, the XRAq informs about its research offer amongst the industrial sector. XRAq research teams orientate its research towards objectives of common interest, providing at the same time a fast and effective results transference.

XRAq keeps its original vocation for transference and collaborative work with private companies. The number of existing contracts and recurrent meetings with the productive sector are quite self-explanatory. In addition, XRAq has been an active member of several workshops where companies and researchers have discussed subjects of common interest. Meetings about needs of the Catalan mollusk sector in the research field and Winter Syndrome deserve special mention. In addition, XRAq has taken part in the sole fish culture international workshop that took place in the UK and Cadiz (Spain) consecutively.

XRAq provides an excellent hallmark for collaborative research, stimulates cooperation between groups and allows enough critical mass to gain access to several competitive projects.

Therefore, our future challenges point towards a top-quality, useful research. In addition, XRAq has a role in the training process of new qualified personnel, able to compete with any other international colleague. On the other hand, XRAq should be able to keep a close and constant contact with the national aquaculture sector, hence providing a good idea of need in terms of research and technology.
